This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled when you use the Otome Smart Home Alexa Skill (the "Skill"), developed by Otome ("we", "us", or "our") via AWS Lambda.

1. Information We Collect and Process

To discover, control, and accurately calculate the power consumption of your smart home devices, our AWS Lambda backend processes the following data:

• Device Discovery & State Data: We receive basic telemetry data about your connected smart appliances (such as device names, types, and on/off status codes) passed through the Amazon Alexa Smart Home API to execute your commands.
• Usage Statistics & Telemetry: To perform power consumption calculations, the Skill processes device usage metrics (such as the operational duration, wattage specifications, or real-time state changes of your connected hardware).
• Voice Commands: Your voice inputs are handled and transcribed entirely by Amazon. Our backend only receives structured directives (smart home directives like TurnOnRequest or SetPercentageRequest) required to trigger your smart home infrastructure.

2. How We Use Your Information

The processing of this telemetry data is strictly confined to the following functions:

• Executing smart home discovery and hardware state adjustments requested by the user.
• Processing device runtime metrics solely to compute energy usage profiles and power consumption estimates.
• Debugging backend connectivity issues using localized execution logs (logs do not store individual identifiable personal information).

3. Zero Sale or Commercialization of Data

We have a strict policy against data commercialization. We do not sell, rent, trade, lease, or share your smart home configuration, device telemetry, usage statistics, or consumption metrics with any third-party advertising networks or external entities. All data is used entirely within our computing environment to power your specific dashboard calculations.

4. Third-Party Ecosystems

Because this application integrates directly with the Amazon Alexa Smart Home ecosystem and runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS), data transit is subject to the security frameworks of Amazon. Please refer to the Amazon Privacy Notice to understand how they handle voice interactions and smart home device state reporting.
